Proxy Buddy

One of the things that I really like about Bluehost is their live chat. I am impatient at times and when I want something answered right away, I will really do my best to get the answer I need. With Bluehost, you only need to chat with their tech support and you will get the answer, if not right away, at least within the chat session.

So when I was transferring this blog from Blogger to Bluehost and I installed Wordpress, for some reason all I can see was a message that this domain is parked in GoDaddy for free. It’s in my cache I know but then after a few hours, this blog still wouldn’t show up. I made use of Bluehost’s Live Chat and I got the answer why I still couldn’t see my blog.

DNS propagation and my internet provider’s cache!

For me to see my blog, Dave of Bluehost told me to use Proxy Buddy. Just enter the URL you are having problems in seeing properly and you will see it through Proxy Buddy!

If you are having problems with your web site, try Proxy Buddy :)

Note: This is NOT a paid advert.

Business opportunity

If you were presented a business opportunity, what would you do with it? If you ask me, if I were presented a Franchise Opportunity, I would grab it after some serious consideration. For me, it is one of the best options if you really want to go to business. You already have the advantage of an established name and the knowledge of the management. No need for you to start from scratch because the main company already did that for you. You are now just continuing what they have started.

A Small Business Opportunity from Franchisegator.com is what most people would want to have for sure. Now that there are so many people without a job because of recessions and mass layoffs, a small business is something one could consider taking advantage of. Start with something small, possibly a franchise, and then go on from there. What do you think? Get a Florida Franchise and start small. Who knows, it might just be the ticket you are waiting for to financial freedom!

So go ahead and check out Franchisegator.com and see what kind of business suits you. Make sure that you enter into a business you know something about. Not a business that is just popular. In the long run, what you know will be a big edge over your competitors. Visit Franchisegator.com now!

Escorted tours

Have you ever been on an escorted tour? Well, I haven’t but I am looking into it right now.

I always tell my siblings and my dad that if we were to travel to some foreign land, we better study the place first and make an itinerary. We should make sure that we will not waste our limited time in that place looking for tourist spots. Or worse, getting lost. That’s why an escorted tour appeals to me. What better way to explore a place than with a travel guide who knows the place inside out.

There are escorted tours canada that I can recommend to a friend who will be visiting someone in Canada soon. She wants to maximize her time there and wants a very organize trip. Travelsphere.co.uk can help her with the trip she has in mind. The company also offers over 50s holidays. Now if you are still thinking of what to give your parents this coming holidays, how about an escorted tour to a place they have always wanted to go to, huh? Great idea and a great way for them to unwind.

Take a look at Travelsphere.co.uk and you just might find an escorted tour of your choice.

Wish!

If you were to choose what’s inside the brown bag, what would it be?

If I were to choose what’s inside the bag, I’d want it to be a check for a million dollars! Wouldn’t that be cool! Hehe

Another holiday gift idea

What do you know, Christmas is just around the corner once more! Do you need another gift idea? How about pearls?

I love pearls. You can wear it and not worry that it might attract too much attention. Some women I know think of pearls as matronly. But for me, it is fashionable yet subdued. When I was still going to the office, I wore pearl earrings. Less temptation for robbers, don’t you think?

So in this time when people are getting desperate because of the effects of the financial crisis worldwide, it is unwise to give a gift that will put your loved one in danger. Better give her canada pearls or akoya pearls. Your mom, grandma, sister, aunt or girlfriend can wear an akoya pearl bracelet and not worry that they will be easy targets for the robbers out there. For those who know how to look, an akoya pearl bracelet that I saw at Pearls Only is simple yet elegant and classic. I love the black pearls more than the white ones. I can see myself buying that bracelet, maybe as a Christmas gift for myself. How about you?

Go to PearlsOnly.ca now and choose the best pearl jewelry for you.

Asset Management

Xixi, who is a cousin of a friend of mine, is into Asset Management. If I am not mistaken, she works as an independent investments consultant as well. She worked in a big bank in the US for a number of years before finally going back here in the country to be with her family. She is one of those people whose work you cannot understand in one sitting. Just like the people at Martin Sands.

Martin Sands is an Assets Management company. I once worked for a company who deals with other companies like Martin Sands. They will get clients who need help managing their assets and refer them to an assets management company. In turn, the company I worked for will get a commission out of the referral made. When I joined the company, I thought the clients who needed help in managing their assets were limited to corporations. I was wrong. We had individual clients who have vast assets they want invested in diverse investment programs. And the company I worked for did that for them.

Martin Sands offers the same services to those who need help managing their assets. Go to SandsBros.com now and check out how Martin Sands can help you with asset management.

How’s your annual earnings so far?

If you ask me, I haven’t made that much this year unlike last year. My earnings from January to present is just a quarter of what I earned from July to December of last year.

Income was really down for most people I know. And the effect of this global financial crisis is really great. My cousin’s husband who works in San Jose, California lost his job a month ago and is still looking for a job right now. He has three kids to feed and my cousin is a stay-at-home mom. My aunt’s in-laws are also struggling abroad and are thinking of going back here. A friend’s business might close by the end of this year.

I am still thankful that I am earning a decent amount of money these days.

How about you?

Thanksgiving celebration

Last year, I celebrated Thanksgiving at my former boss’ house. Nathan was the country manager of the call center I worked for in the past. He was an American and he married a Filipina. Every year, they would go out of their way to invite all their friends to celebrate Thanksgiving with them.

Last year, I was invited together with some of my old co-workers. It was a reunion of sorts for us. We had a lot of fun together, reminiscing about the time we spent working together and bashing our old boss! The one I called Bratinella! It was also a time for us to catch up with what was happening in our respective lives. The most memorable part of last year’s celebration was the karaoke session. Nathan really gave his all in singing that country song. It was hilarious!

This coming Thanksgiving, I am invited to celebrate it with them again. I will be bringing a Thanksgiving gift basket this time. Last year I brought a bottle of red wine. I am also invited at another friend’s house. I am still deciding where to go but I will definitely be bringing a gift basket, the one that I saw at www.1800Flowers.com when I was browsing the net for Thanksgiving gifts.

Finally!

This blog is now using Wordpress and is already hosted at Bluehost! Yey! I had some issues with the DNS but everything’s okay now.

The live chat at Bluehost is really very useful. One click, wait a few minutes and you will surely get an answer to whatever is your problem with your cpanel. Thanks to Dave who helped me resolve my DNS issues last night.

For now, I will be using this theme while I am trying to transfer the one I had in Blogger. I want that header! :)

Okay, so excuse the mess for now and I will continue transferring the sidebar contents and get the theme.
